Process /präˌses/ a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end.
My work is dependent on its process; whether it be an image, a cinemagraph, or an augmented reality piece the process of making that work is what is most important to me. My work easily evolves and transforms during the process, and I am left with a different piece than what I had originally planned. The themes I deal with are personal and frequently deal with self, body image, insecurities and the depiction of women in modern media. I draw inspiration from artists like Jen Davis, Hannah Black, and Latoya Ruby Frazier.
Through my work I directly respond to my surrounding environment and I use every day experiences to propel my work forward. My work challenges the stereotypical representation of the still image and depicts themes that resonate with all audiences. The subject matter of each body of work determines the materials and the forms of the work. Thus, resulting in a wide variety of work in my portfolio.
